Plumber

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain water supply and drainage systems.
• Install and connect pipes, valves, faucets, toilets, sinks, showers, water heaters, and other plumbing fixtures.
• Read and interpret basic plumbing drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and join pipes accurately.
• Identify and repair leaks, blockages, damaged pipes, and faulty plumbing fixtures.
• Install drainage, sewage, and wastewater systems.
• Conduct pressure tests and inspections to identify plumbing faults.
• Carry out routine maintenance and preventive checks on plumbing systems.
• Use plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Work closely with masons, carpenters, electricians, POP installers, and other construction workers.
• Ensure plumbing installations meet required building and safety standards.
• Estimate materials required for plumbing jobs and minimize wastage.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow all site safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Report plumbing defects, material requirements, and project challenges to the supervisor.
• Complete assigned plumbing works within project timelines and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Proven years of practical plumbing experience.
• Proven experience in residential, commercial, or construction plumbing.
• Good knowledge of water supply, drainage, sewage, and piping systems.
• Ability to read basic plumbing drawings and take accurate measurements.
• Skilled in using plumbing hand tools and equipment.
• Good knowledge of PVC, PPR, copper, galvanized, and other plumbing pipes and fittings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding construction environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of construction health and safety procedures.
• Trade certification or apprenticeship training in plumbing is an advantage.
