Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Manage all aspects of plantation operations, including planting, raw rubber harvesting, and nursery management across the two sites in Edo State.
- Resource Management: Supervise on-site personnel and contract labor to ensure productivity and adherence to safety standards.
- Asset Maintenance: Oversee the security and maintenance of company assets, including machinery, vehicles, and staff housing.
- Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to the Director of Operations (DOP) and Managing Director (MD) regarding yield forecasts and site challenges.
- Community Relations: Maintain positive relationships with local stakeholders and community members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, farm management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in plantation or farm management (experience with specific crops relevant to IHL is an advantage).
- Strong leadership, budget management, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be willing to reside on-site at the company’s apartment in Iguobazuwa.
- Ability to operate farm machinery and a valid rider’s licence (for official motorbike use).
