Operations and Accounting Officer
Job summary
We are looking for a highly organized and financially disciplined individual to manage delivery operations and oversee all pay-on-delivery transactions. This role combines operations coordination and accounting, ensuring that deliveries are executed efficiently and all financial records are accurate with zero discrepancies.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
Operations (Logistics & Coordination):
- Receive delivery requests from merchants
- Confirm recipient readiness before dispatch
- Input and manage delivery data in Google Sheets
- Group deliveries by Local Government Areas (LGAs) for efficient routing
- Coordinate with the packing and dispatch team
- Monitor delivery progress and resolve issues
Accounting & Financial Control:
- Track all pay-on-delivery transactions
- Reconcile daily cash collections
- Maintain accurate financial records for each delivery
- Identify and report discrepancies immediately
- Prepare daily/weekly financial summaries
- Ensure zero cash leakage or accounting errors
Requirements:
- Degree or background in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong experience with cash handling and reconciliation
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel
- Strong organisational and multitasking ability
- Trustworthy and accountable
- Experience in logistics, dispatch, or e-commerce operations is an advantage
