Job summary

The Driver will be responsible for providing safe, timely, and courteous transportation services for staff, volunteers, beneficiaries, and organizational materials. The role supports the organization’s daily operations and special programs, including events held on weekends and public holidays.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate organization vehicles to transport staff, volunteers, guests, and goods as required
  • Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off for official assignments, appointments, and outreach programs.
  • Support logistics for community outreach, charity drives, and special events occasionally (including weekends and public holidays).
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of assigned vehicles at all times
  • Conduct routine vehicle checks (fuel, oil, water, tires, brakes, etc.) and report any issues promptly.
  • Ensure vehicle documents (insurance, registration, roadworthiness) are valid and up to date.
  • Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety standards, and organizational policies.
  • Assist with loading and unloading items such as donation materials or event supplies when needed.
  • Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance.
  • Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with staff, beneficiaries, and external stakeholders.


Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum of 2 years' proven driving experience (preferably with NGOs or corporate organizations)
  • Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
