As the Programs Officer at SINC Care Initiative, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs that support the growth and development of the tech ecosystem in Africa. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including educational institutions, government bodies, non-profits, and private sector partners

Job Description/Requirements


Program Development and Management:

  • Design, develop, and implement programs that align with the mission and goals of SINC Care Initiative.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs, ensuring they meet objectives and deliver impact.
  • Develop program budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.

Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions, government agencies, non-profits, and private sector partners.
  • Advocate for policies and initiatives that support the growth of the tech ecosystem in Africa.
  • Represent SINC Care Initiative at conferences, workshops, and meetings to promote our mission and programs.

Resource Mobilization:

  • Identify funding opportunities and develop proposals to secure financial support for programs.
  • Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners to ensure sustainable funding.
  • Manage grants and funding agreements, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to measure the impact of programs.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on program data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor a team of program staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Work closely with other departments within SINC Partners to align efforts and leverage resources.

Communications and Outreach:

  • Develop and implement communication strategies to raise awareness of SINC Care Initiative’s programs and impact.
  • Create content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels to engage stakeholders.
  • Organize events, workshops, and seminars to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration within the tech ecosystem.


  • Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field .
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in program management, preferably within the non-profit, development, or tech sectors.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing successful programs.
  • Strong understanding of the tech ecosystem in Africa and the challenges and opportunities it presents.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure funding and manage donor relationships.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
