Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Native Mobile App Developer. The primary responsibilities include designing and developing high-quality mobile applications, integrating APIs, and ensuring seamless functionality across platforms. Additional tasks involve maintaining existing codebases, debugging issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new features and improvements. The ideal candidate will drive technical solutions that align with AMQEY’s mission of prioritizing customer-centric experiences.

We are hiring a Native Mobile Engineer to own and strengthen our Android and iOS apps.

This is not a Flutter role.

We are focused on:

* Kotlin (Android)

* Swift (iOS)

* Gradual migration from Java → Kotlin

You will work directly on production applications used by real customers.

You will not manage people initially.

You will build, refactor, and stabilize.

Android

* Migrate legacy Java components to Kotlin

* Improve architecture (MVVM / Clean Architecture)

* Optimize performance & memory

* Release management (Play Store)

iOS

* Maintain and improve Swift app

* Improve app structure & stability

* Manage builds & App Store releases

Cross-App Responsibilities

* Ensure clean API contracts

* Improve stability and crash handling

* Improve app performance under real-world usage

* Maintain shared business logic alignment across apps

Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)

* Strong Kotlin experience

* Strong Swift experience

* Experience with Java (legacy Android)

* 3+ years building real production mobile apps

* Published apps on Play Store / App Store

* Understanding of app architecture patterns

* Experience with all three: Java + Kotlin + Swift

* Experience migrating Android from Java to Kotlin

* Experience in fintech, payments, or marketplace apps

* Understanding of scalable app design
