Job summary
AJobalaje Financial Services Ltd is seeking a certified AML/CFT/CPF professional for a short-term remote contract to review and strengthen our pre-operational compliance framework, support regulatory readiness and filings, and advise management ahead of commercial launch. Successful performance may lead to the primary MLCO role.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct an adequacy and gap review of the Company's AML/CFT/CPF Compliance Manual and supporting framework.
- Review the framework against applicable Nigerian AML/CFT/CPF legislation, regulatory requirements and relevant supervisory standards.
- Identify and recommend necessary technical, operational and regulatory amendments.
- Review KYC/CDD/EDD, beneficial ownership, PEP and sanctions controls, customer risk assessment, transaction monitoring, suspicious transaction reporting, record keeping and compliance governance arrangements.
- Provide professional compliance guidance on the Company's non-custodial fintech architecture and use of regulated third-party payment providers.
- Support regulatory readiness and, where appropriately authorised, assist with compliance enquiries, regulatory submissions and filings involving relevant bodies such as CBN, NFIU and SCUML.
- Advise management on AML/CFT/CPF operational readiness and controls required before commercial launch.
- Where formally appointed/designated, perform applicable MLCO responsibilities within the agreed scope of engagement.
Requirements:
- A minimum 3–5 years of verifiable AML/CFT/CPF, financial crime or regulatory compliance experience within Nigerian financial services, fintech, banking or payment processing.
- CIN and/or ACAMS certification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian AML/CFT/CPF regulatory requirements.
- Practical experience with KYC/CDD/EDD, PEP and sanctions screening, beneficial ownership, transaction monitoring and suspicious transaction reporting.
- Experience reviewing or developing AML/CFT/CPF policies, manuals and compliance procedures.
- Understanding of digital onboarding, API-driven payment infrastructure, automated AML surveillance and non-custodial fintech models is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, report-writing, regulatory and professional judgment skills.
Remuneration: NGN 150,000–250,000
