Merchant Acquisition Specialist

We Are Hiring: Merchant Acquisition Specialist (MSMEs) – Abuja

Fortis Mobile Money Limited is looking for a result-driven Merchant Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for onboarding, activating, and managing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on our digital payment and financial services platform, FortisPay.

Location: Abuja (Most activities will be based in Abuja).

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, prospect, and onboard MSMEs across assigned territories.

Conduct field visits and merchant engagement activities to drive platform adoption.

Drive merchant activation and ensure consistent product usage.

Promote services such as transfers, bill payments, card payments, savings, loans, and insurance products.

Build and maintain strong merchant relationships.

Resolve merchant issues and provide ongoing support and training.

Achieve transaction volume and value targets.

Maintain accurate records and prepare weekly/monthly performance reports.

Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and internal processes.

Provide market feedback and competitor insights.

Requirements:

Experience in sales, business development, merchant acquisition, or fintech.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and meet targets.

Good knowledge of digital payments, fintech, or financial services is an advantage.

Willingness to conduct field visits and merchant engagements.
