Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Ile-Ife for a Medical Records Officer. The Medical Records Officer will be responsible for managing, organizing, and ensuring the accuracy of patient health records. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining and updating patient files, ensuring compliance with medical record regulations, working closely with healthcare professionals to manage documentation, and safeguarding patient confidentiality. The position supports operational efficiencies and contributes to the overall quality of patient care.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Medical Record Management and Patient Care processes
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Strong organizational, documentation, and data management skills
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality protocols
- Relevant training or certifications in medical records management, healthcare administration, or related fields
- Experience in a medical or hospital setting is an advantage
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor's degree/ Higher National diploma in Health Information Management, Medical Administration, or a related discipline is preferred
