Job Opportunity — Media Consultants (Airtime Liquidation)


Fifth Energy Consultants Ltd is inviting qualified Media Consultants / Media Sales Agencies to partner with us to liquidate bulk airtime secured under barter and commercial arrangements from major broadcast networks, including NTA Network, Media Trust Group, Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Corporation (NCBN), Abuja Broadcasting Corporation (ASO TV/Radio Abuja), and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).


We are looking for experienced, results-driven consultants or agencies with strong media-sales networks and proven ability to convert airtime inventory into cash or suitable barter fulfillment.


Role: Media Consultant — Airtime Liquidation (Contract / Commission-based)


Key Responsibilities

• Market and sell allocated airtime across TV and radio platforms to advertisers, agencies, and corporate buyers.

• Identify and close high-value campaigns, sponsorships, and long-term deals that convert airtime to cash or agreed barter equivalents.

• Prepare and present professional proposals and media packages tailored to client needs and campaign objectives.

• Negotiate commercial terms, discounts, and placement schedules with clients, ensuring compliance with the terms of our media agreements.

• Coordinate campaign booking, insertion orders, and reconciliation with broadcast partners and Fifth Energy Consultants Ltd.

• Track, report, and reconcile airtime sales, payment receipts, and campaign delivery metrics.

• Meet agreed monthly/quarterly sales targets and provide weekly progress updates.

• Maintain strong relationships with advertising agencies, brand managers, and procurement teams.


Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 3 years’ proven experience in media sales or airtime trading (TV & radio) — individual consultants or agencies welcome.

• Strong network within advertising agencies, FMCG, telecoms, banking, and other major media buyers.

• Demonstrable track record of closing high-value media deals and meeting sales targets.

• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously and deliver timely reconciliations.

• Understanding of media planning, GRPs/ratings, and campaign measurement metrics is an advantage.

• Integrity, transparency, and capacity to provide references and evidence of previous deals.


Engagement Terms

• Contract: Short-term / project-based with possibility of extension based on performance.

• Remuneration: Competitive commission-based structure (negotiable), performance incentives, and fee arrangements for large deals.

• Consultants/Agencies are expected to provide their company profile, evidence of past performance, and proposed commercial terms.
