Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical fitting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on production and utility equipment
- Troubleshoot breakdowns to minimize downtime
- Maintain and service filling machines, moulding equipment, compressors, chillers, and generators
- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities and machine history
- Support installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- OND/HND or Trade Test/City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (FMCG/plastics preferred)
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic systems, pumps, motors, conveyors, and packaging machines
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and maintenance manuals
- Experience with injection/blow moulding is an added advantage
- Strong mechanical fitting and fabrication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
- Knowledge of lubrication, alignment, and maintenance practices
- Familiarity with safety procedures (LOTO, confined space, etc.)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt
