Mathematics Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver Mathematics lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of primary school students.
• Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers to assess their progress.
• Prepare course materials, including syllabi, homework assignments, and lesson notes, to facilitate effective learning.
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions to encourage active participation and critical thinking.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
• Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and instructional methods to meet the evolving needs of students.
• Collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and school administrators to assess student needs and develop personalized tutoring plans.
• Provide private instruction to individuals or small groups of students to address specific academic needs or prepare for assessments.
• Research and recommend textbooks, software, and other learning materials to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
• Participate in professional development sessions to improve teaching practices and stay updated on the latest educational trends.

Requirements:

• B.Ed, PGDE, in Mathematics Education
• Minimum of 5 years' experience teaching Mathematics in a primary school setting.
• Excellent command of English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and internet resources.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Customer service-oriented approach with a commitment to providing a positive learning experience.
• Leadership qualities and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
• Outstanding teaching skills, with a creative and innovative approach to instruction.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
