Marketing Officer
Job summary
The Marketing Officer is responsible for generating new business, converting leads into revenue, and supporting portfolio growth within the assigned territory. The role focuses on direct sales, client acquisition, relationship management, and achievement of assigned production targets in line with the Company's business objectives.

Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new retail and corporate clients.
- Convert leads to insurance policies across approved product lines.
- Meet or exceed assigned production and revenue targets.
- Support renewal, cross-selling, and upselling of existing client portfolios.
Client Relationship Management:
- Conduct client needs assessments and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure retention and repeat business.
- Provide accurate information on products, pricing, and policy terms.
- Address client inquiries and support the resolution of service-related issues.
Marketing & Lead Generation Activities:
- Execute field marketing, direct sales, and relationship-based marketing activities.
- Participate in promotional events, corporate visits, and market activations.
- Generate and follow up on sales leads from assigned channels.
- Support implementation of sales campaigns and initiatives.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure accurate completion of proposal forms and onboarding documentation.
- Support KYC compliance and timely submission of required client documents.
- Follow internal policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Reporting & Performance Tracking:
- Prepare and submit regular sales activity and production reports.
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, leads, and closed business.
- Provide market intelligence and competitor feedback to management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or HND in any relevant discipline.
- A postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2–5 years' experience in sales or marketing.
- Insurance or financial services sales experience is an advantage.
- Membership of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) is required.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Customer-focused and target-driven mindset.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of insurance products and processes.
- Ability to work independently and in a field-based environment.
- Knowledge of the New Insurance Reform Acts (NIRA).
