Marketing Executive

Responsibilities:

Marketing & Sales Activities:

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the company’s publications.
  
• Conduct field marketing visits to schools, bookshops, distributors, and educational institutions.
  
• Identify new business opportunities and initiate contact with prospective clients.
  
• Execute marketing campaigns, product demonstrations, book fairs, exhibitions, and promotional events.
  
• Promote new book releases and ensure product availability in targeted markets.
  
• Prepare marketing proposals and presentations for clients.

Market Research & Analysis:

• Conduct regular market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
  
• Provide feedback to the editorial and production teams for product improvement.
  
• Generate marketing and sales reports, including weekly activities and target progress.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, book resellers, and distributors.
  
• Address customer inquiries, complaints, and follow up on sales leads.
  
• Maintain a database of clients and update customer records regularly.

Branding & Communication:

• Support brand development initiatives and ensure consistent brand representation.
  
• Collaborate with the digital/communications team to promote products online.
  
• Produce marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and promotional content.

Coordination & Administration:

• Work with the sales and distribution teams to ensure the timely delivery of orders.
  
• Track inventory levels during promotions and events.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, English, or any related field.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in marketing or sales.
• Additional certification in Marketing or Digital Marketing is an added advantage.
• Experience in the publishing, education, FMCG, or related industry is an added advantage.
  
• Requires a blend of sales, marketing, branding, and customer relationship management. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to persuade, negotiate, and close sales.
  
• Good understanding of marketing principles and customer behavior.
  
• Field marketing skills and willingness to travel.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
