Marketing Executive
Job summary
The Marketing Executive is responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion for the company’s publishing products (books, educational materials, journals, and other learning resources). The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, and promoting company products.

Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell company publications to schools, bookstores, distributors, and other relevant institutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with school owners, principals, teachers, and distributors.
- Follow up on customer requests, feedback, and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
- Identify new markets, schools, bookshops, and bulk buyers for business growth.
- Develop strategies to penetrate new territories and improve market share.
- Carry out product presentations and marketing campaigns in assigned locations.
- Organize and participate in book fairs, exhibitions, school visits, and promotional events.
- Generate orders, confirm deliveries, and ensure proper documentation.
- Support timely payment collections and reduce outstanding debts.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, product availability, and promotional strategies.
- Provide market feedback to management for better decision-making.
- Submit daily/weekly/monthly activity reports, including sales performance, visits, and collections.
- Keep accurate records of customers, transactions, and outstanding balances.
- Work closely with the production, distribution, and accounts departments to ensure customer orders are delivered promptly.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and performance reviews.
- Represent the company professionally in all interactions with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure company policies and ethical sales practices are followed at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum of HND/BSc in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Economics, or any related discipline.
- Additional certifications in Sales/Marketing will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in sales/marketing (experience in publishing, FMCG, or educational products is an advantage).
