Marketing & Customer Acquisition Executive
Job summary
We are seeking a driven and experienced Marketing & Customer Acquisition Executive to support our operations in Ibadan by sourcing, marketing, assessing, and managing SME and micro-business lending opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong credit judgement, business development skills, and experience working directly with business owners
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
Business Development & Marketing:
- Identify and onboard viable SMEs and micro-businesses for financing
- Conduct field marketing and business outreach within Ibadan and the surrounding areas
- Build strong relationships with traders, associations, and business clusters
- Maintain a consistent lending pipeline through active prospecting
Credit Assessment & Loan Processing:
- Conduct KYC checks and customer due diligence in line with regulatory requirements
- Assess borrower eligibility through financial analysis, cashflow checks, and business verification
- Prepare credit appraisal reports and loan recommendations
- Support loan structuring, including repayment terms, collateral (where applicable), and risk mitigants
Loan Monitoring & Recovery:
- Monitor loan repayments and follow up on delinquent accounts
- Conduct routine visits to borrowers for monitoring and relationship management
- Support collections and recovery efforts for overdue loans
- Flag early warning signs and recommend mitigation actions
Requirements:
- Minimum of an HND (preferably in Business, Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in credit, lending, SME finance, or microfinance
- Strong knowledge of SME lending, credit analysis, and loan monitoring
- Proven experience marketing and onboarding SMEs (field-based)
- Familiarity with operating in Ibadan markets and business communities is a strong advantage
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
