Reports To: Senior Manager - Converged Services Division: Marketing Mission: Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing innovative mobile data propositions to drive data customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth in Nigeria's highly dynamic and competitive telecom market. Develop compelling data offerings that meet the evolving needs of MTNN's diverse customer base while staying ahead of market trends and competitors. Description: Develop and execute the mobile data proposition strategy aligned with the overall business objectives and market dynamics. Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, preferences, and trends related to mobile data usage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Masterbrand, product development, sales, regulatory, legal, and network operations, to design and launch data-driven products and services that differentiate MTN. Lead the development of pricing strategies, packaging, and promotions for mobile data offerings to maximize revenue and market share. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to mobile data usage, revenue, and customer satisfaction, and develop action plans to address any performance gaps. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and the competitive landscape to anticipate market shifts and adjust the data proposition strategy accordingly. Build and maintain relationships with key partners, vendors, and industry stakeholders to support the development and delivery of innovative data solutions. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the mobile data team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Drive customer engagement and retention initiatives through targeted messaging, campaigns, and personalized experiences leveraging mobile data offerings. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to mobile data services and pricing. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Telecommunications, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus. Fluent in English Experience: 6–13 years’ experience, which includes: Proven track record of at least 5 years in product management, marketing, or strategy roles within the telecom industry, with a focus on mobile data services. Strong understanding of mobile technology, data networks, and emerging trends in mobile data usage. Demonstrated experience in developing and launching successful mobile data propositions, preferably in a highly competitive market. Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of translating market insights into actionable plans. Effective leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving business impact and delivering measurable results. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
