Maintenance Lead
Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Lead to take full ownership of plant equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and technical team supervision. The ideal candidate is structured, safety-focused, and capable of driving maintenance systems that reduce downtime and support stable production.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities across the plant
- Develop and enforce preventive and planned maintenance schedules
- Ensure maximum uptime of extrusion presses, Melting furnaces, Compressors, cooling systems, and auxiliary equipment
- Diagnose and resolve breakdowns promptly with root-cause analysis
- Manage maintenance technicians and assign daily tasks effectively
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports
- Enforce safety standards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and proper PPE use
- Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of equipment
- Work closely with Production and Operations teams to align priorities
- Identify spare parts requirements and support inventory planning
- Drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes and reliability
Requirements:
- HND or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proven experience leading or supervising maintenance teams
- Strong knowledge of: Mechanical systems, Electrical panels and controls, Motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics
- Experience in extrusion, foundry, FMCG, steel, or heavy manufacturing is an advantage
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- High level of discipline, accountability, and professionalism
