Legal Assistant
Job summary
As a Legal Assistant, you will be the backbone of our litigation and transactional team. You will be tasked with high-level preparatory work, legal research, and document management. You will be actively involved in case strategy and client preparation.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth legal research using platforms like; Nigerian case law repositories, LawPavilion, LexisNexis e.t.c.
- Draft and review agreements, court processes, opinions, and correspondence.
- Assist with due diligence, document review, and transaction support.
- Prepare briefs, memoranda, and filings for litigation and corporate matters.
- Manage communication with clients, counsel, and regulatory bodies (CAC, FIRS, etc).
- Ensure compliance with AML and data protection policies.
- Maintain organized case management and ensure deadlines are met.
- Take initiative in problem-solving and work independently through on assigned responsibilities.
- Lead by example through professionalism, responsiveness, integrity, and dedication to client service.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2.1 of First Class Honours in Law (LL.B) from a recognized Nigerian University and Nigerian Law School.
- Minimum 2 years post-call experience as a Legal Assistant, Associate, or Paralegal in a Nigerian Law firm, chamber, or corporate legal department.
- Hands-on experience drafting court processes, contracts, or transaction documents is Non-negotiable
- Excellent written and spoken English; You must be able to draft clearly and persuasively.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files remotely.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Virtual collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, Teams).
- Self-disciplined, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Remuneration: NGN 250,000
