Law Associate

Responsibilities:

• Conducting advanced doctrinal research on complex, multi-jurisdictional legal issues.
• Developing strategic legal opinions and white papers at the confluence of technology, regulation, and global commerce.
• Providing prompt, real-time advisory on emerging legal challenges in any area of law.
• Analysing precedents and synthesising complex legal materials into clear, actionable advice.

Requirements:

• Exceptional Academic Record: Candidates possessing a First-Class degree at the University level and a First Class standing at Law School are the primary target for these roles.
• Strong Doctrinal Knowledge: A deep and authoritative understanding of fundamental legal principles and their application across diverse jurisdictions.
• Practical Advisory Capability: The ability to translate complex legal analysis into real, practical, and cogent advice for clients.
• Legal Research and Problem-Solving: A demonstrable passion for rigorous legal research and an innovative approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate must be excited by working on novel legal questions.
• Computer Literacy: Essential competency in digital tools and the ability to conduct deep online research.
• Professional Writing: Superior professional writing ability is mandatory for clear and effective communication of complex legal findings.

Note: We welcome applications from highly motivated candidates ranging from newly called lawyers (whether or not they have completed their NYSC) up to those with six years of post-qualification experience.

Compensation
