Laminator Operator

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor lamination machines efficiently and safely.
• Set up lamination machines according to job specifications and production requirements.
• Prepare and load films and other packaging materials correctly.
• Set and monitor machine parameters, including speed, temperature, tension, and adhesive application.
• Monitor the lamination process and ensure consistent bonding and product quality.
• Check laminated materials for defects such as poor bonding, wrinkles, bubbles, delamination, and uneven adhesive application.
• Identify and troubleshoot common lamination machine and production issues.
• Minimise material waste, adhesive waste, and machine downtime.
• Carry out routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance of the machine.
• Maintain accurate production records and report machine faults promptly.
• Work closely with the Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and production procedures.
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining required quality standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years' proven experience operating lamination machines.
• Experience in flexible packaging, polythene, nylon, plastic, or film manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of lamination processes, machine setup, adhesive application, and material handling.
• Ability to monitor and adjust machine settings for optimal production quality.
• Ability to troubleshoot common lamination machine and production issues.
• Good understanding of quality control and laminated film inspection.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Relevant technical qualification or certification is an added advantage.
