Laboratory Analyst
Job summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Analyst to conduct laboratory tests, analyze samples, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical laboratory skills, analytical ability, and the capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory testing and analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and samples for testing and analysis.
- Monitor laboratory processes and identify abnormalities or non-conformance issues.
- Record, analyze, and interpret test results accurately and prepare detailed laboratory reports.
- Maintain proper documentation of laboratory activities, test records, and equipment logs.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Support investigations relating to product quality issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure operational efficiency and product quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing laboratory efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, analytical methods, and laboratory equipment.
- Good understanding of laboratory safety standards and quality control processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic laboratory reporting tools is an added advantage.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
- Time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to interpret laboratory data and troubleshoot testing issues.
- Good interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in a laboratory and manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Willingness to work extended hours or shifts where required.
Location: Sagamu, Ogun State
Remuneration: NGN 250,000 – 300,000
