Interior Designer/Decorator

Responsibilities:

• Develop creative interior design concepts based on client requirements, budgets, and project objectives.
• Prepare space plans, mood boards, color schemes, and material selections.
• Create detailed design drawings, layouts, and 3D visualizations.
• Recommend furniture, lighting, flooring, wall finishes, fabrics, accessories, and decorative elements.
• Ensure designs are functional, aesthetically appealing, and aligned with current design trends.
• Coordinate interior fit-out and decoration projects from concept through completion.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, contractors, and suppliers.
• Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress and ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Resolve design-related issues during project execution.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project expectations.
• Present design proposals, material samples, and project concepts.
• Provide professional advice on design options, finishes, and décor solutions.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Source and recommend quality furniture, fixtures, finishes, lighting, fabrics, and décor items.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotations and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor material quality and ensure products meet project specifications.
• Assist with project budgeting and cost estimation.
• Prepare design specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with company standards, client requirements, and relevant regulations.
• Maintain accurate project records, drawings, and material schedules.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and innovative design solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of an HND in Interior Design, Architecture, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Proven years of experience in interior design, decoration, or interior fit-out projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Lumion, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of space planning, furniture design, lighting, color theory, and material selection.
• Excellent creativity, attention to detail, and presentation skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and project management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
