The HR & Organization Development Officer will serve as the on-site representative of our management consulting firm at our client’s facility in Ilushin, Ogun State. The HR & Organization Development Officer will serve as the on-site representative of our management consulting firm at our client’s facility in Ilushin, Ogun State. The role exists solely to execute, monitor, and institutionalize our firm’s HR, organizational development, and performance improvement programs within the client organization. The role does not replace, duplicate, or report into the client’s Ilushin’s internal HR function. Instead, it acts as the execution arm of our consulting engagement, ensuring that all approved people, culture, structure, and performance initiatives designed by our firm are implemented rigorously on the ground.

Responsibilities:
Consulting program execution:
- Drive the on-site implementation of all HR and OD interventions approved for our client.
- Translate consulting designs (structures, KPIs, frameworks, workflows, scorecards, policies) into daily operational reality.
- Track compliance with agreed organizational standards across departments.
- Ensure leadership and employees adopt new systems, behaviors, and processes.
Organization & performance governance:
- Monitor role clarity, reporting lines, manpower alignment, and workload distribution.
- Ensure that performance management systems (KPIs, targets, scorecards, reviews) are used correctly.
- Identify deviations, resistance, or breakdowns in the organization design.
- Escalate risks, bottlenecks, and issues of non-compliance.
Culture & behavior change:
- Reinforce professional standards, ethics, attendance, documentation, and decision-making.
- Act as the “culture mirror” of the organization—highlighting gaps between desired and actual behaviors.
Data, diagnostics & reporting:
- Collect workforce, productivity, performance, and organizational data required for consulting analysis.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports on:
Organizational risks:
- Compliance with new frameworks, etc.
- Provide ground-level intelligence that informs consulting decisions.
Stakeholder engagement:
- Work closely with the management onsite, department heads, and HR team to facilitate change.
- Ensure the client’s HR team executes their own responsibilities in line with the new frameworks.
- Act as a bridge between us (consultants) and on-site reality (the client).
Change management & sustainability:
- Support the rollout of new policies, job roles, grading systems, and performance tools.
- Identify resistance, sabotage, or capability gaps that could derail the transformation.
- Coach managers on how to operate within the new organization design.

- We (consultants in Lagos) receive reliable, accurate, real-time organizational intelligence about activities at the client’ site
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Sociology, Management or related fields
- Professional HR certification is an advantage
Experience:
- 3–6 years experience in HR, OD, performance management or consulting
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is a strong advantage
- Prior exposure to change management, audits, compliance or Organizational reviews is highly desirable
