Job summary
We are seeking a professional and proactive Human Resources Manager who will be responsible for leading and overseeing all strategic and operational Human Resources functions within the organisation's manufacturing operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, policy implementation, performance management, compliance.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day Human Resources operations of the factory, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services.
- Implement, monitor, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and workplace practices.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, selection, onboarding, and induction processes to ensure timely hiring of suitable talent.
- Coordinate employee confirmations, transfers, promotions, disciplinary processes, exits, and other employee lifecycle activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, resolving workplace issues professionally and fairly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labour laws, statutory requirements, and health and safety regulations.
- Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, feedback, and employee development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files.
- Support learning and development initiatives by identifying training needs and coordinating employee development programmes.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, leave administration, and workforce discipline.
- Partner with factory management to support workforce planning, productivity, and operational objectives.
- Prepare periodic HR reports, workforce analytics, and management updates to support decision-making.
- Promote employee engagement initiatives and contribute to maintaining a positive workplace culture.
- Support payroll preparation by ensuring the accuracy of employee records and HR-related data.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4- 5 years' progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory HR role.
- Experience within a manufacturing, production, FMCG, or factory environment is highly desirable.
- Experience managing a predominantly blue-collar workforce will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR operations.
- Good understanding of Nigerian labour laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Strong organisational, planning, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems is an added advantage.
