Head of Tracking Devices Configuration & Technical Support

Responsibilities:

• Configure and deploy GPS tracking devices for various vehicle types and assets.
• Set up and manage CANbus integrations, fuel level sensors, RFID systems, temperature sensors, relay immobilizers, and driver behavior monitoring systems.
• Configure communication protocols including TCP/IP, APN settings, SMS commands, and GPRS/LTE connectivity.
• Perform firmware upgrades and device provisioning.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to tracking devices.
• Troubleshoot GPS signal issues, GSM connectivity failures, CANbus communication faults, sensor calibration problems, and power supply/wiring issues.
• Repair damaged circuits and electronic components on tracking devices.
• Conduct soldering, PCB repairs, and component replacement where necessary.
• Lead and supervise installation/configuration technicians.
• Provide advanced technical support to field teams and clients.
• Maintain records of configured devices and technical assets.
• Prepare technical reports and maintenance logs.

Requirements:

• Minimum HND
• 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of vehicle tracking technologies, including CANbus systems, fuel monitoring solutions, RFID systems, sensors, and relay immobilizers.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electronic devices, including PCB troubleshooting, soldering, circuit repairs, and component replacement.
• Good understanding of communication protocols, networking concepts, and GPS/GSM/GPRS/LTE technologies.
