Head of Quality Assurance
Job summary
To lead and manage the Quality Assurance function by ensuring that all products, processes, and systems meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations, while driving continuous improvement, defect reduction, and operational excellence across Zobis’ production processes.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with internal quality policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements across all production and operational processes.
- Monitor and drive overall quality compliance rate by enforcing adherence to product specifications, process standards, and inspection protocols.
- Establish quality benchmarks and ensure all departments align with defined standards.
- Lead initiatives aimed at defect reduction by identifying root causes of quality issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to eliminate recurring defects and improve product reliability.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all internal and external quality audits, ensuring strong audit performance and readiness at all times.
- Address audit findings promptly and ensure closure of non-conformities within agreed timelines (Audit Performance).
- Drive process standardization across production lines by developing, documenting, and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Ensure consistency in quality practices across all departments and production units.
- Oversee all product testing and inspection activities to ensure testing accuracy and compliance with technical specifications.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment and laboratory tools.
- Manage and resolve customer complaints related to product quality in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct root cause analysis on complaints and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence (Customer Complaint Resolution).
- Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvement projects.
- Promote a culture of quality awareness and accountability across the organization.
- Establish and monitor key quality performance indicators, providing regular reports and insights to Management.
- Analyze quality data and trends to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Work closely with production, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure alignment between product quality, customer expectations, and operational capabilities.
- Ensure all incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products meet defined quality standards through proper inspection and testing processes.
- Train and develop quality team members and other staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards within the quality function.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, certification agencies, and external auditors where required.
- Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by Management in line with organizational objectives.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience.
- A minimum of an HND in any related field.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO standards
- Expertise in quality control
