Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:Â
- Develop, document and maintain operational flows, reconciliation and settlement processes and procedures
- Manage the overall day-to-day operational processes within the business
- Design, implement and manage a cohesive financial and operational strategy and ensure operational efficiency
- Create & maintain operational budgets and financial plans
- Develop, track and analyze metrics to determine growth opportunities and improvement areas
- Identify new revenue opportunities and target markets for bank’s products
- Liaise with regulators, public authorities and ensure compliance with the relevant laws and regulations
- Adopt a risk-based approach to proactively identify and address risks
- Develop strong customer relationships and manage a large group of stakeholders
- Develop and implement fraud prevention procedures and processes to ensure effective transactions monitoring (Implementing tools to monitor transactions, identify attempted fraud and reports)
- Identifying areas of operations/business that require technological intervention and co-coordinating with stakeholders for the implementation of technical solutions
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annual operational reports, budget to the CEO
- Prepare monthly returns to CBN and NDIC
- Maintain current professional and specialized knowledge of bank operations, risk management, security and client issue resolution strategies and utilize this knowledge and expertise to ensure operational and risk management excellence
- Ensures account maintenance instructions have properly executed documentation, signatures and approvals
- Review of periodic reports to ensure internal controls are being followed and resolve and note any discrepancies
- Identify regulatory compliance and legal issues and escalate for resolution as appropriate
- Analyze and resolve escalated problems and identify recurring issues
- Monitor for fraud patterns, trends, and identify emerging new risks
- Assist with internal, external, and regulatory audits and examinations
Skills Required
- This position is open preferably to a female canddiate
- Academic Qualifications: HND or BSc in Accounting or related field. MCIB is an added advantage.
- Experience : 2 - 3 years working experience in the same role specifically in MFB.Â
- Must be able to relocate.Â
- Proficient use of BankOne CBA
- Comfortable working with multiple groups within business
- Demonstrated team management experience
- Demonstrated budget management and financial forecasting experience
- Fundamental knowledge of product commercialization and revenue management
- Big-picture strategic mindset with the ability to identify trends and drive growth initiatives
- Holistic and proactive approach and proven experience in the development of processes
- An ability to rapidly adapt to change in a dynamic business environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to gain respect and trust of all levels of team members
- Ability to share the company’s vision of exponential growth and add value
