Job Summary

As the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for supervising daily support operations of our organization and planning the most efficient financial procedures. You will be required to develop an operational improvement strategy in collaboration with our senior managers/staff, and present timely progress reports to our executives.

  • Minimum Qualification: Diploma
  • Experience Level: Mid level
  • Experience Length: 3 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Timely recording of daily transactions i.e. Liquidations and investment, Securities purchase/sale, across all portfolios on the Maturities Blotter and posting of same on the portfolio management system
  • Ensuring the accuracy of trade and other financial products bookings, pricing and other deliverables
  • Confirming post-settlement payments for all instruments.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation for Treasury operations
  • Liaise between departments to ensure the accuracy of all work flows
  • Daily portfolio trade, cash and position reconciliations between internal records, administrator and the brokers for all product types
  • Trouble shoot potential operational problems and resolve issues
  • Daily call over of transactions initiated to ensure that all instructions initiated are executed.
  • Reconciliation of all outstanding transactions
  • Ensure retrieval of contract notes from counterparties on all completed transactions and accuracy of the parameters contained therein are as agreed
  • Ensure that transactions are processed in strict adherence to agreed SLAs
  • Oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization
  • Manage contracts and relations with customers, vendors, partners and other stakeholders
  • Makes major operational decisions within business plan.
  • Owning operational efficiency and quality including an operations balanced scorecard incorporating finance, people, process and customer dimensions of the business.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manages the relationship between service providers and including negotiations, contractualization, service and support (SLAs).


Building Relationships:

  • Builds relationships with peers and/or colleagues that impact across business areas.


Technical Consultation:

  • Provides consultancy services where required.


IT Service Delivery Management:

  • Oversees the functional unit and is accountable for the efficient operation of the area.
  • Ensures continuous service and systems security.
  • Responsible for aligning technology and technology support to business needs.
  • Responsible for infrastructure management in area of responsibility.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Accounting from accredited institutions 
  • 3 - 5 years first-line treasury management experience.
