Head of Finance

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and systems to support business goals.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Prepare accurate financial reports, statements, and analyses for management decision-making.
• Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial risk management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, and internal control standards.
• Oversee audit processes (internal and external) and liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Support the executive team with financial insights to guide business strategy.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and financial performance.
• Coordinate with banks, vendors, and partners to manage financial relationships.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) required.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards.
• Proven experience in the automobile or manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
