Job Title: General Manager, New Technologies
Reports To: Managing Director/CEO
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with commercial acumen and leadership capability to position the organisation at the forefront of emerging technology solutions. The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of long-term technology strategies, strengthen strategic partnerships, drive product innovation, and oversee the delivery of secure, scalable, and market-responsive solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Cyber Security Solutions

  • Develop and execute a scalable and comprehensive five-year cybersecurity strategy aligned with the organisation s business objectives
  • Lead cyber security operations and solution delivery to help clients identify, assess, mitigate, and manage security risks
  • Drive innovation in threat intelligence, incident response, vulnerability management, and security operations
  • Oversee the design and implementation of enterprise cyber security frameworks, policies, and standards
  • Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, governance requirements, and industry best practices
  • Build strategic partnerships with cybersecurity vendors, technology providers, and industry stakeholders

Cloud Solutions

  • Develop and execute a five-year cloud solutions strategy to expand service offerings and revenue growth opportunities across multiple sectors
  • Lead the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure and managed services solutions
  • Oversee cloud migration, optimisation, governance, and security initiatives for enterprise clients
  • Build and maintain strategic alliances with major cloud providers and technology partners
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and develop innovative cloud-based solutions that address client needs
  • Ensure operational excellence, service reliability, and customer satisfaction across cloud engagements

Research & Development (R&D)

  • Lead the Research and Development function to drive innovation and develop emerging technology solutions, products, and services
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with business leaders and technical teams to identify new business opportunities and product concepts
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform strategic direction and market positioning
  • Support the commercialisation of innovative products and solutions through strategic planning and execution
  • Drive technology incubation initiatives and proof-of-concept development activities

Leadership & Business Management

  • Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams across multiple business units and locations
  • Develop departmental strategies, operational plans, budgets, and performance targets
  • Ensure alignment of technology initiatives with overall organisational goals and business priorities
  • Drive operational efficiency, financial performance, and continuous improvement across departments
  • Mentor and develop high-performing teams while promoting collaboration and accountability
  • Prepare executive reports, strategic updates, and business performance presentations for senior leadership

Educational Qualifications

  • Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Certifications, PMP, or related credentials are strongly desirable

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in cyber security, cloud solutions, enterprise technology, or digital transformation, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing strategic technology initiatives that deliver measurable business growth and operational impact
  • Strong expertise in cyber security frameworks, threat intelligence, cloud infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and security operations
  • Experience leading technology operations, solution delivery, innovation programmes, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities, drive revenue growth, and build strategic partnerships
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies, AI-driven systems, DevOps, automation, and technology governance frameworks
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with SIEM platforms, cloud security technologies, incident response, threat hunting, and security analytics
  • Working knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
