Role Description The Gardener role is a full-time, on-site position based in Osogbo. The Gardener will be responsible for maintaining lawns, flower beds, shrubs, and trees across company premises, ensuring clean, safe, and visually appealing outdoor areas. Daily tasks include planting, weeding, pruning, mulching, mowing, and applying fertilizers and pest control solutions in line with safety guidelines. The Gardener will monitor and operate irrigation systems, adjust watering schedules, and assist in basic garden design and landscaping improvements. This role also involves maintaining gardening tools and equipment, keeping work areas tidy, and collaborating with site and facilities teams to support a professional environment for staff and visitors.
Qualifications

• Strong practical skills in Gardening and basic Landscape Maintenance.
• Ability to plan and implement Landscaping and Garden Design to enhance outdoor spaces.
• Knowledge of Irrigation systems, including operation, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
• Understanding of plant care, soil management, fertilizers, and safe use of pesticides.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to maintaining clean and orderly grounds.
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or groundskeeping is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices related to tools, equipment, and chemicals.
