Interior Duct Ltd is a registered Furniture Manufacturer and Training Centre committed to equipping youths and young adults with practical, industry-relevant skills in furniture making and interior works. The centre provides hands-on training in carpentry & joinery, upholstery, welding & fabrication, spraying & decoration, and woodwork machine operations, using modern tools and real production projects. Our goal is to develop skilled, disciplined, and job-ready artisans prepared for employment, entrepreneurship, and long-term career growth.
Role Description
This is an on-site Furniture Making Apprenticeship/Internship role based in Benin City. As an apprentice or intern, you will engage in learning to construct and assemble furniture under the guidance of experienced craftsmen. Responsibilities include measuring and cutting materials, sanding, finishing, and use of tools and equipment. You will also have the opportunity to learn about various modern furniture-making techniques and materials, contributing to creative and functional designs. Regular adherence to safety standards and protocols will be expected.
We invite interested candidates (school leavers/graduates) within Benin City to apply for a FREE 3-MONTH FURNITURE MAKING TRAINING PROGRAMME with MONTHLY STIPDENDS.
This hands-on programme is designed to help young people learn practical furniture-making skills, gain real workshop experience, and build a pathway into employment or entrepreneurship in a state-of-the-art furniture industry.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and work collaboratively on projects.
- Willingness to adhere to safety measures and handling tools responsibly.
- Interest in furniture design or manufacturing is a plus.
- Passion for sustainability and creating environmentally friendly products is beneficial.
- Creative thinking and an eye for design in furniture making
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- A strong passion for craftsmanship and the furniture-making industry
- No prior experience is required, but any relevant experience or coursework in woodworking or design is a plus.
