Forklift Operator
Job summary
A forklift operator is responsible for loading, unloading, packing, and unpacking materials, labeling, and sorting incoming and outgoing shipments. Relocate items within the warehouse or factory. Operate a forklift, winch, or other machinery used for transporting or shipping materials.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Unloading of inbound shipment safely and moving of product to the storage area where it can be effectively stocked and stored.
- Ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free from damage for the quality variance report.
- Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is correctly loaded and shipped, and as well perform picking duties in an efficient manner that would meet the customer service standard.
- Moving of product from the staging and storage area into rail cars and trucks.
- Loading and unloading stocks, products, and materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, and other power equipment.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse by conducting operations in a manner that will promote safety in accordance with the safety standards.
- Assist in maintaining the equipment used as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Minimum of a vocational qualification
