Job Role: Finance Officer

Location: Demsa LGA, Adamawa

Job Summary:

The Finance Officer manages daily financial records, handling payables/receivables, processing invoices/payments, reconciling accounts, preparing basic financial reports (like P&L, Balance Sheet), ensuring tax/statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE), and supporting audits, all while maintaining accurate bookkeeping and supporting management with financial insights for effective decision-making

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accurately record all financial transactions, manage ledgers, and maintain up-to-date financial data.

2. Process invoices, manage vendor payments, bill clients, track receipts, and follow up on overdue payments.

3. Regularly reconcile bank statements with bookkeeping records.

4. Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) and expense reports.

5. Ensure adherence to internal policies, local financial laws (e.g., tax, PENCOM), and support internal/external audits.

6. Monitor operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

7. Manage and maintain the company's accounting software and systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting role

Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP), communication, and problem-solving.

Understanding of basic accounting principles and Nigerian financial regulations.
