Job summary
Loan Officer is responsible for assessing loan applications, evaluating customers’ creditworthiness, processing loans, and ensuring that approved loans are properly disbursed and repaid.

Responsibilities:
- Receive and review loan applications from customers.
- Conduct customer interviews and collect required documents.
- Assess customers’ creditworthiness, income, business activities, and repayment capacity.
- Conduct customer visits and verify business and residential addresses.
- Perform credit checks and evaluate potential loan risks.
- Recommend loans for approval based on company policies and lending criteria.
- Explain loan terms, repayment schedules, and conditions to customers.
- Monitor loan repayments and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Contact customers with outstanding payments and support loan recovery efforts.
- Maintain accurate customer and loan records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly loan reports.
- Monitor loan portfolios and identify accounts at risk of default.
- Ensure compliance with company lending policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain good relationships with customers.
- Support customer acquisition and promote the organization's loan products.
- Escalate high-risk or problematic accounts to management.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience
- A minimum of a diploma in a related field
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Credit assessment and risk management
- Loan recovery and monitoring
