Our client is looking for an experienced facilities manager with strong leadership skills to oversee, maintain, and optimize our facility operations.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize Facility Operations: Streamline processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of facility management operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the facilities.
  • Maintain Safe and Functional Environment: Prioritize the safety and functionality of the facilities by implementing preventive maintenance programs, enforcing compliance with regulations, and promptly addressing any issues or hazards.
  • Maximize Resource Utilization: Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including space, equipment, and utilities, to minimize waste, reduce costs, and support the organization's operational goals.
  • Enhance Stakeholder Satisfaction: Foster positive relationships with stakeholders by delivering high-quality services, responding promptly to inquiries and concerns, and continuously seeking feedback to improve satisfaction levels.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement systems and processes for ongoing evaluation, analysis, and improvement of facility management practices, identifying opportunities for innovation, cost savings, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current facility management practices, processes, and systems to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads, senior management, and external vendors, to understand their needs, expectations, and priorities related to facility management.
  • Review compliance with government regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices to ensure that facilities meet required standards and address any immediate compliance gaps or safety concerns.
  • Based on the assessment findings, develop short-term improvement plans and initiatives to address priority areas such as maintenance backlogs, safety enhancements, and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Identify and implement quick-win initiatives that can deliver immediate improvements or cost savings, demonstrating early impact and building credibility with stakeholders.
  • Establish clear communication channels and protocols for stakeholders to report facility-related issues, provide feedback, and stay informed about facility management activities and initiatives.
  • Evaluate existing vendor relationships and contracts for services such as maintenance, cleaning, and security, identifying opportunities for renegotiation, consolidation, or optimization to improve service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review the current budget for building use and facility maintenance, analyze spending patterns, and identify opportunities for cost optimization, reallocation of resources, or potential budget adjustments.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing multiple facilities, including hard facilities management services such as HVAC, electrical systems and plumbing.
  • Experience managing budgets and overseeing large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to handle emergencies effectively.
  • Excellent vendor management skills (assessment and contract negotiation)
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in civil or mechanical engineering, building and facilities management, estate management or other related disciplines.


Remuneration: NGN 120,000.00 per month
