Extruder Operator

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion machines in line with production schedules and specifications.
• Ensure machines are properly calibrated to achieve required cable diameter accuracy and product specifications.
• Achieve assigned extrusion output targets by maintaining optimal machine performance and minimizing interruptions.
• Monitor production processes continuously and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistent output quality.
• Control and minimize material waste by ensuring efficient material usage, proper machine settings, and adherence to production standards.
• Track raw material consumption and report variances or inefficiencies.
• Conduct routine machine checks before, during, and after production runs to ensure proper functionality.
• Identify, record, and promptly report all machine downtime, including root causes and corrective actions taken.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve mechanical or technical issues efficiently.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and proactively prevent defects (Quality Defect Prevention).
• Escalate any quality deviations immediately and implement corrective actions as directed.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures (Safety Compliance).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience 
• A minimum of a diploma 
• Technical ability to operate and troubleshoot extrusion machines
• Understanding of production processes and quality control standards
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to monitor and interpret machine parameters
• Problem-solving and fault identification skills
• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Strong adherence to safety standards
• Ability to work in shifts and under pressure
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Record-keeping and reporting ability
• High level of discipline and reliability
