Responsibilities:
Corporate & Commercial Practice:
- Conduct in-depth legal research on corporate, regulatory and commercial matters
- Draft and review commercial agreements, including NDAs, Service Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements and Shareholders' Agreements
- Prepare legal opinions and advisory memoranda
- Assist in corporate restructuring and capital-raising transactions
Property & Real Estate Transactions:
- Draft and review real estate documentation, including Deeds of Assignment and Lease Agreements
- Conduct property due diligence and verification
- Prepare and file perfection documents
Corporate Governance & Regulatory Compliance:
- Draft board resolutions, minutes, and other corporate documentation
- Support regulatory compliance and statutory filings
- Assist in developing governance frameworks and internal corporate policies
Client Advisory & Business Development:
- Interface professionally with clients and regulatory agencies
- Participate in client meetings and transaction discussions
- Contribute to business development initiatives
- Participate in internal knowledge-sharing and continuous learning activities
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience
- Have strong experience in corporate and commercial legal drafting
- Demonstrate excellent legal research and analytical skills
- Be intrinsically motivated and committed to continuous learning
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate integrity, professionalism and sound judgement
- Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Be capable of managing multiple assignments effectively
- Enjoy solving complex business problems
- Aspire to build a successful business in the future
Work Environment:
The role will also involve:
- Attendance at client meetings
- Visits to regulatory agencies
- Property site inspections
- Participation in board meetings
- Managing multiple assignments simultaneously
- Maintaining strict confidentiality in all client matters
Programme Commitment:
- This opportunity is intentionally designed as a two-year professional and entrepreneurial development journey.
- Participants are expected to commit fully to the programme throughout this period to maximise both their technical growth and entrepreneurial development.
- Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will receive structured support as they transition into full-time entrepreneurship.
Remuneration: NGN150,000 monthly salary
