About the Role

We are looking for a senior Electronics, RF, Firmware & Embedded Engineer who brings equal depth across hardware engineering, mobile development, DevOps infrastructure, and AI integration. In this role, you will design and build embedded systems and hardware components that connect directly into Joble’s AI platform, develop React Native interfaces that surface real-time hardware data, manage the infrastructure that ties it all together, and integrate AI/LLM intelligence across the full stack. This is a rare opportunity to shape how AI agent technology extends into the physical world.

Key Responsibilities

Electronics, RF & Embedded Systems

- Design, develop, and test embedded systems and firmware for hardware components that integrate with Joble’s AI platform

- Design and implement RF communication systems and protocols for device connectivity

- Write low-level firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers and embedded processors

- Conduct hardware testing, debugging, and validation across development cycles

- Collaborate on PCB design and hardware integration with cross-functional teams

- Ensure reliability, power efficiency, and signal integrity across all embedded systems

- Implement OTA (over-the-air) firmware update systems for deployed hardware

Mobile Development (React Native)

- Build and maintain React Native mobile applications that interface with embedded and hardware systems

- Design clean, responsive mobile UIs that surface real-time hardware data and system states

- Manage Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or RF communication between the mobile application and hardware layer

- Ensure performance, reliability, and cross-platform consistency across iOS and Android

DevOps & Infrastructure

- Own CI/CD pipelines for both firmware and software deployments

- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) supporting connected hardware and AI systems

- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting across hardware-connected services

- Enforce security best practices across infrastructure, device communication, and access control

AI Engineering

- Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into embedded and mobile systems where applicable

- Build intelligent workflows that leverage real-time hardware data and AI inference

- Optimize AI system performance, latency, and reliability in resource-constrained environments

- Collaborate with the AI/ML team to extend Joble’s AI agent capabilities to hardware-connected product features

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Product, AI/ML, and Design teams to deliver features end-to-end

- Maintain strong engineering hygiene: clean code, thorough documentation, and consistent version control practices

Requirements

- 5–7 years of professional engineering experience

- Strong hands-on experience in electronics design, RF systems, and embedded firmware development

- Proficiency in firmware programming using C and/or C++

- Demonstrated ability to embed and integrate hardware components into a connected software platform

- Strong experience building mobile applications with React Native (iOS & Android)

- Solid DevOps experience: CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), containerization, and observability tooling

- Demonstrated experience integrating AI or LLM capabilities into production systems

- Strong understanding of wireless communication protocols

- Ability to work fluidly across hardware and software layers without losing depth in either

- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with IoT platforms and connected device ecosystems

- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS)

- Experience designing OTA firmware update pipelines

- Prior experience integrating physical hardware into an AI or SaaS platform

- Prior experience in an early-stage startup environment
