Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD or Autodesk Revit (MEP)
- Support electrical system design (lighting, power distribution, earthing, and cable sizing)
- Perform basic calculations and documentation using Microsoft Excel
- Assist in load estimation and single-line diagram development
- Participate in site inspections to monitor installation and ensure compliance with design/specifications
- Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Prepare technical reports, BOQs, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and safety regulations
- Coordinate with the engineering team, architects, and contractors
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Second Class Upper Division (Minimum)
- 0 – 2 years of experience (NYSC/internship counts)
- Basic understanding of electrical systems (LV distribution, lighting, protection systems)
- Familiarity with at least
one electrical design/analysis tool, such as ETAP or Dialux
- Basic
AutoCAD proficiency (Revit
MEP is an advantage)
- Understanding of electrical codes and standards (IEC, BS, or local regulations)
