Job summary
An Educational Agent Counsellor (also called an Education Consultant or Student Counsellor) assists students in making informed decisions about studying abroad and supports them throughout the admission and visa process.

Responsibilities:
Student Counselling and Career Guidance:
- Assess students' academic background, interests, and career goals.
- Recommend suitable countries, institutions, and courses.
- Explain entry requirements, tuition fees, scholarships, and career prospects.
- Help students understand study pathways (Diploma, Bachelor's, Master's, PhD).
University and Course Selection:
- Match students with appropriate universities and colleges.
- Provide accurate information about programs and admission requirements.
- Compare institutions based on rankings, location, costs, and employment opportunities.
Admission Processing:
- Assist students in completing application forms.
- Review and verify supporting documents.
- Submit applications to institutions.
- Follow up on application status and admission decisions.
Visa Guidance:
- Advise students on visa requirements and documentation.
- Assist with visa application preparation.
- Help students prepare financial and supporting documents.
- Conduct mock visa interviews where applicable.
English Language Test Support:
- Guide students on IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, or other English proficiency requirements.
- Recommend preparation resources and test centres.
- Explain minimum score requirements for various institutions.
Compliance and Ethical Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and truthful information.
- Maintain student confidentiality.
- Follow immigration and education regulations.
- Avoid misleading students regarding admissions, scholarships, or migration outcomes.
Pre-Departure Services:
- Organise pre-departure briefings.
- Provide information on accommodation, travel, insurance, and local culture.
- Assist with airport pickup arrangements where available.
Relationship Management:
- Maintain communication with students and parents.
- Liaise with universities, colleges, and visa offices.
- Build partnerships with educational institutions.
Marketing and Recruitment:
- Conduct seminars, webinars, and education fairs.
- Promote partner institutions and programs.
- Generate student leads and convert enquiries into enrolments.
Record Keeping and Administration:
- Maintain student databases and application records.
- Track admission deadlines and visa processing timelines.
- Prepare reports for management and partner institutions.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience
- A minimum of a BSc. in the related field
