Drilling Engineer/Specialist I

Responsibilities:

• Develop drilling and well completion programs based on geological, reservoir, and operational requirements.
• Review offset well data to identify drilling hazards and incorporate mitigation measures into well plans.
• Prepare well design options, cost estimates, and equipment requirements for drilling operations.
• Design wells in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Prepare and evaluate technical bids for drilling equipment and services.
• Monitor drilling and completion activities through rig site surveillance and engineering assessments.
• Provide technical support for equipment testing, new procedures, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations, Geology, Reservoir, and Project teams to ensure well plans meet project objectives.
• Support deepwater drilling activities where required, including subsea systems, riser analysis, and well control operations.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate engineering documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in drilling engineering, well planning, and drilling operations within the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge of well planning, drilling engineering, and well completion operations.
• Experience with industry-standard well design software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of drilling safety, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of deepwater drilling operations and subsea systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Proven experience supporting drilling and completion programs from planning through execution.
• Experience conducting rig site surveillance and engineering assessments.
• Ability to analyze technical bids and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in an onsite environment.
