Director, Distressed, Turnaround & Turn-Down Deal Origination — Emerging Markets

Cebron Global is a cross-border capital markets advisory firm arranging debt, private credit, project finance, and structured solutions for international sponsors and corporations raising $50M–$250M+ across Sub-Saharan Africa, MENA, South and Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

We are hiring a senior origination banker to source distressed, turnaround, and turn-down transactions across our emerging markets coverage. This is not a performing-credit role. We are looking for someone whose network produces the deals that traditional lenders have passed on — sponsors turned down by commercial banks, transactions that broke at credit committee elsewhere, operational turnarounds requiring fresh capital, recapitalizations and restructurings that need structural creativity, and bridge or rescue situations where the underlying asset is sound but the conventional financing path has closed.

Cebron Global's structuring approach — tranched debt, revenue undertakings, hybrid instruments, and bespoke security packages — is designed to close transactions that do not fit clean-sheet underwriting. The right origination partner brings the deals; the firm structures and arranges the capital.

Scope of the role

Source mandates in the $50M–$250M+ range across our target geographies and sectors. Originate distressed, turnaround, and turn-down deals from existing relationships with commercial and investment banks, regional lenders, restructuring advisors, law firms, family offices, and sponsors. Identify situations where transactions have been declined, stalled, or repriced beyond viability and bring them to Cebron Global for structuring, mandate signing through close.

Required

• 10+ years in distressed credit, special situations, turnaround finance, workouts, restructuring, or off-market origination at an institutional bank, advisory firm, or alternative lender
• Demonstrable closed transactions where the financing was distressed, turnaround-driven, or previously declined by other lenders
• Active relationships across at least one of our target regions (Sub-Saharan Africa, MENA, South/Southeast Asia, Latin America)
• Sector depth in one or more of our priority industries above
• Strong existing network with credit officers, workout teams, restructuring partners, turnaround advisors, and sponsor-side counsel
• Comfort building underwriting narratives in situations where the standard story has failed

Disqualifiers

• Performing-credit origination only, with no exposure to distressed, turnaround, or turn-down situations
• Residential mortgage, retail lending, or small-ticket commercial backgrounds
• Pure relationship-coverage roles without origination accountability
• No demonstrable live pipeline or near-term originable deals

Structure

Independent contractor engagement. Success-fee model with a meaningful share of mandate and closing economics. Cebron Global provides full structuring, execution, and capital-markets support.
