Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Digital Twin & IoT Strategy Intern. The intern will support the development and optimization of digital twin solutions and IoT strategies within the energy sector. Key tasks include designing and simulating digital models, researching industry best practices, analyzing data for predictive insights, assisting project teams in implementing IoT applications, and contributing to the alignment of digital solutions with business goals.
Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data, develop insights, and solve complex problems
• Excellent Communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Experience or knowledge in Digital Strategy, including IoT and digital twin applications
• Project Management skills to support the planning and execution of digital transformation initiatives
• Familiarity with Digital Marketing concepts is a plus
• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting with attention to detail and a proactive attitude
• Interest or experience in the energy sector and a passion for leveraging technology to drive innovation
  

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate field sensors using AWS IoT Core/Azure IoT Hub and MQTT protocols for real-time synchronization.
• Implement edge computing solutions to process data locally, minimizing latency in harsh field conditions.
• Design and optimize network topologies incorporating LoRaWAN and Industrial PLC for scalable, resilient connectivity.
• Monitor and troubleshoot sensor-to-model data pipelines, ensuring zero downtime during operations.
• Document integration architectures and contribute to system reliability improvements.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Expertise in sensor integration for industrial IoT applications.
• Strong knowledge of edge computing principles and deployment.
• Proficiency in network topology design, including low-power wide-area networks.
• Hands-on experience with AWS IoT Core/Azure IoT Hub, MQTT, LoRaWAN, and PLC systems.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic, operations-focused settings.
  

Education
BSc or HND in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
