Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and run a multi-platform content strategy; optimize clips, captions and descriptions for reach; A/B test formats, posting times and messaging.
- Repurpose podcast highlights into reels, shorts, carousels and posts across YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X, in the brand's voice.
- Manage online marketing for the client's book — Amazon/Selar listing optimization, SEO, paid social campaigns, email marketing, and driving verified reviews.
- Respond to comments, messages and mentions; run polls, Q&As and community-driven content; build creator and influencer partnerships.
- Monitor performance across all platforms, track algorithm changes, and report insights and recommendations regularly.
- Grow subscribers, listeners and downloads; identify monetization opportunities including ads, sponsorships and membership.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in digital content, social media management, or digital marketing.
- A good first degree — marketing, communications, media or a related field.
- A track record of growing audience and engagement across platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or Spotify.
- Strong grasp of SEO, platform algorithms and analytics tools.
- Experience with online sales/marketing platforms (e.g. Amazon KDP, Selar) is a strong plus.
- Editorial judgement and genuine fluency in Africa's creative economy — this role asks for intellectual depth, not just technical execution.
- Excellent written communication and a distinct content voice.
- Able to work independently in a fully remote contract engagement.
