Depot Officer
Job summary
The depot officer is responsible for the effective management of the company’s depot, including receipt, storage, issuance, and accountability of books and other publishing materials. The role ensures proper stock control, accurate documentation, timely distribution to marketers and customers, and strict compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities:
- Receive, store, and issue books and other company materials in line with approved procedures.
- Maintain accurate stock records, bin cards, and inventory registers.
- Ensure timely supply of stock to marketers, distributors, and customers.
- Monitor stock movement and promptly report shortages, damages, or variances.
- Ensure proper documentation for all stock issued and received.
- Enforce compliance with company policies on stock handling and distribution.
- Support periodic stock counts and audits.
- Ensure the depot is kept clean, safe, and well organized.
- Liaise with marketers, logistics personnel, and the Accounts department on stock-related matters.
- Prepare and submit regular stock and depot activity reports.
Requirements:
- Minimum of BSc in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, accounting, or any related discipline.
- 2 years of experience in warehouse, depot, inventory, or logistics management.
- Experience in a publishing, distribution, FMCG, or sales-driven organization is an advantage.
