The Depot Manager is responsible for the overall management of depot operations, ensuring efficient truck movement, staff supervision, safety compliance, cost control, and service delivery. The role ensures smooth daily operations while maintaining discipline, accountability, and performance across drivers, fleet, and depot staff.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily depot
activities, including truck dispatch, returns, parking, and yard control.
- Ensure trucks are
roadworthy and available for dispatch as scheduled.
- Coordinate with fleet
officers, dispatchers, and drivers to meet operational targets.
- Monitor turnaround time,
idle trucks, and utilization rates.
- Supervise depot staff,
drivers, and support personnel.
- Handle disciplinary
issues, absenteeism, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure routine vehicle
inspections, servicing, and maintenance are carried out.
- Ensure proper use and
protection of depot assets and equipment.
- Maintain accurate
records and reports as required by management.
- Communicate operational
challenges, incidents, and performance issues promptly.
Requirements:
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport
Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–3 years’ experience in haulage, logistics,
fleet, or depot operations.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good understanding of fleet operations,
dispatch, and depot control.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in transport operations.
