Forge Exchange is a cutting-edge decentralized exchange designed to enhance trading outcomes for cryptocurrency traders. By combining off-chain order matching with on-chain settlement, Forge reduces slippage and optimizes trade execution. The platform prioritizes internal order matching before leveraging decentralized exchange (DEX) liquidity when necessary, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Currently in its beta phase, Forge is developing a hybrid trading infrastructure that integrates internal order books with on-chain execution.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Database Administrator, located in Kano State, Nigeria. The Database Administrator will oversee database design, implementation, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security. Key responsibilities include managing database systems, identifying and resolving performance issues, setting up and monitoring replication processes, and collaborating with the development team to enhance database architecture.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in Database Administration and Databases management
• Skills in Database Design and the ability to optimize database structures
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting database-related issues and ensuring system performance
• Experience with Replication strategies and maintaining data consistency across distributed systems
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with database security best practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience in blockchain or cryptocurrency trading platforms is a plus
