Cyber Security Engineer

Lincoln University Nigeria is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to train students through hands-on cybersecurity labs, live demonstrations, and real-world security simulations.

This role focuses on practical cybersecurity training, ensuring students can identify vulnerabilities, perform ethical hacking exercises, and secure systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on cybersecurity training and lab-based exercises
• Conduct live demonstrations of penetration testing and vulnerability assessment tools
• Teach network security, system hardening, and threat detection techniques
• Guide students in ethical hacking simulations and security incident response
• Train students on cybersecurity tools, monitoring systems, and security best practices
• Supervise student cybersecurity projects and capture-the-flag style exercises

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of practical experience in cybersecurity or ethical hacking
• Strong hands-on knowledge of penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and network security
• Familiarity with security tools and cybersecurity frameworks
• Certifications such as CEH, Security+, CISSP, or similar are an advantage
• Passion for mentoring students through practical cybersecurity training
